Save the Date!

October 17, 2016 will be the “Companions of the Bishop” dinner. The dinner will be held at the Ranchmen’s Club in Calgary with guest speaker Bishop Mark MacDonald. We are pleased to have the National Indigenous Bishop present his thoughts on the theme “The Church's Ministry after the Truth and Reconciliation Commission”.

This fund-raising event is for the Bishop’s Discretionary Fund, which covers expenses that the Bishop incurs that are not covered by the Diocesan budget, especially in supporting clergy of the Diocese.

This will be an opportunity to support the Bishop's discretionary fund financially with a suggested donation of $250 plus $85 per person for the dinner.

Charitable donation receipts for the amount of the donation will be issued by the Diocese (by request only for donations less than $25).

The Diocesan Office is in the process of installing a new telephone system. While the main telephone number is not expected to change, sometime in the next couple of weeks, the individual extension numbers for Diocesan staff personnel will change. Please refer to the News page of the Diocesan website (here) or the Staff and Volunteer directory on the website (here) for up-to-date information about staff extension and direct dial phone numbers.

Greetings from the Bishop

The Anglican Church is a part of the broader Christian Church and our particular history springs from the Church in England that has spread across the globe over the past several centuries.

The Diocese as a geographic area covers much of southern Alberta and we have congregations throughout that area.

If you would like to know more about where to find us, you can check out our website where there is a list of those places.

Thank you for connecting with us and may God bless you this day.

The Most Rev. Greg Kerr-Wilson, Archbishop of Calgary and Metropolitan of Rupert's Land
