Statement from the Bishop on the Haiti situation:
January 14, 2010
Dear Friends in Christ,
Like you I have been shocked by the news coming from the country of Haiti. Our prayers go out to the injured, the bereaved, the survivors, the whole nation as they struggle to find a way through this natural catastrophe. I urge you, as you are able, to support the assistance being given by our Anglican Church of Canada through the Primates World Relief and Development Fund to bring comfort and hope to the people of Haiti. May our gifts be a visible expression of our faith in God who loves all people, and the desire of God to bring a blessing for good out of the most difficult situations.
In the information below you will find directions regarding making a
donation to the PWRDF in support of aid for Haiti.
God be with you,
+Derek
Bishop of Calgary
