Soothing the Soul: A Day of Lenten Devotion and Prayer

Soothing the Soul: A Day of Lenten Devotion and Prayer

March 23, 2019 9:00 am to 3:00 pm St. Francis of Assisi Anglican Church, Airdrie

Join Archbishop Greg and the Anglican Fellowship of Prayer for a day of Lenten meditations and prayer.

Our relationship with God is one of the most important relationships we have.  Yet so often the frenetic activity of life leaves us with little time to meditate on this.  This Lenten Season, why not take one day to re-connect with God's presence in your life. Connect. Pray with the Community.  Sooth your soul.

Register by emailing FellowshipPrayerCalgary@gmail.com.  Please list all dietary needs with Registration.

Town Hall Thank You!

We are so grateful to the good people of St. Augustine, Lethbridge, Holy Trinity, Calgary, and St. Luke, Red Deer for helping host our Town Halls.  The food, hospitality and welcome were second to none!

We are pleased to let you know that the attendance was amazing.  We had 50 attend in Lethbridge, 70 attend in Calgary, and 48 attend in Red Deer.  That is record numbers, so thank you so much to all who came out.

We have also received terrific feedback which we are working through and will be using in order to further improve future events and our overall work in the Diocese.

Annual Returns

The Annual Returns that each parish must fill out and submit to the Diocesan Office can be found on our website under Resources/Documents/Annual Return Forms, and we offer fillable forms as well that can be emailed in to the office at diocese@calgary.anglican.ca.

For the Financial Reports, parishes can submit an Income Statement and a Balance Sheet.  Any questions regarding finances can be directed to the Director of Finance, Lorraine Betts at lbetts@calgary.anglican.ca

Thank you so much to those of you who have sent your Annual Returns in already!  We really appreciate your feedback on the reduced forms.

Missional Footprint Documents
You will notice that there is a document titled “Missional Footprint” which we added to the list of Annual Reporting for 2019. This document can be completed around the time of Annual Statistical Reporting if that works best for your parish.
Our last Synod gave us a mandate to focus on Mission. So, we have created this feedback form which will give us an idea of how your parishes are already carrying out Mission and Ministry. It will also allow us to work with you to achieve your goals and overcome any challenges in this area.  Our Executive Officer, The Rev. Pilar Gateman, would love to come to your parish to help work through the process with you.  What we have seen so far has given us real hope and a sense of how to help us all move into a missional mindset.  Bless you all in your Kingdom work!
If you have any questions about the form or process, please contact pgateman@calgary.anglican.ca
