Who decides which cases to sponsor?
Each year, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada decides the amount of refugees to come to Canada and we are given a small amount of “spaces” or “spots” for each individual refugee.
Our Refugee Committee then makes decisions on which cases to sponsor based on our policies, capacity, co-sponsors’ readiness and eligibility and details of each refugee case.
